5 Gum - React² Fruit

Recently i've began to have an obsession with chewing gum, (yes I know, it's a weird thing to have an obsession of) and the brand '5' has come to my attention. When the range of gum was first released over here in the UK, gradually I bought a pack of each of the flavours and really enjoyed them! However, I recently discovered there are many more amazing flavours of the gum that've been released such as Cinnamon, Bubblegum, Green Apple etc. So, you can imagine how annoyed I was when I discovered when none of the nice flavours I want are sold in the UK at all. Because of this, i've been looking online to see what types of the gum I could buy, and came across this interesting gum. There's a series of the gum called 'React' where it comes in two varieties, a fruit one and a mint one.

They've been out in America now for about over a year I believe and they have now brought out two new gums under the name 'React²' This is the fruit variant that I have purchased and must admit I love it! It's a lovely, fruity grape flavour which tastes really good on first chew. However, even though the gum is tasty, the flavour doesn't last too long and after about 20 minutes chewing, you just have a bland object in your mouth which starts to feel a bit uncomfortable. On to the presentation, I've always loved the '5' packaging as it's sleek, sophisticated and really easy to slide into your pocket. Something that's even more interesting on this packaging is that, on the back the grip that's there to help you open the pack actually changes colour! It's kind of like when a mood ring changes colour. I don't know what it's ment to add, but I found it interesting and quite cool.

So, I'm going to mark the gums I review with a scoring system like this. Flavour - Out Of 4, Texture - Out Of 3 and Presentation - Out of 3. Overall then, Flavour - 3/4. Texture - 1/3. Presentation - 3/3. So this brings the total to 7/10.

5 Gum React² is available to buy online now (as currently, it's not available in the UK).

p.s. - keep an eye out for more gum reviews soon!

David Guetta - Nothing But The Beat

I've been a fan of David Guetta's music since I first heard about him from 'When Love Takes Over' back in 2009. Ever since then, i've seemed to like the majority of his music, so when I saw he had a new album coming out I was intrigued. Then, when I heard (one of my favourite artists ever!) Jessie J was to feature on the album I had to get it! It was released on Monday over here, and features an array of stars with Nicki Minaj, Taio Cruz, Usher, Chris Brown, Akon and Sia just to name a few. Aswell as having a fantastic range of artists, the CD is also good value for your money, as you get 2 discs instead of just 1!

The first disc is the 'Vocal Album' which features 12 tracks with at least one other artist featuring on each one. This is the disc that I will no doubt be listening to the most, and for good reason! There are numerous dance hits on there which could all be relased as singles. Stand outs include 'Turn Me On' featuring Nicki Minaj which is a fun, catchy song that's sure to get your feet moving (it's so good it looks set to break the top 40 from just album downloads alone!). Other songs to look out for include, 'Without You' which features Usher, 'Night Of Your Life' with Jennifer Hudson, 'Titanium' featuring Sia and, of course, 'Repeat' featuring the lovely Jessie J. However, it's not all good as there is one song I would suggest skipping 'I Just Wanna F.' which features Timbaland and Dev. Honestly, I feel it's just annoying (and not in a good way!) and I reckon that the three artists on the track could've made a much, much better song! Onto disc 2 which is named the 'Electronic Album' the disc is full of 10 tracks of pure instrumental, dance music. I found, listening to it a bit boring and prefer songs where people actually sing, so I don't think this disc will somehow get broken from being played too much!

Overall, I loved the first disc, and can see myself listening to about 10 of the songs quite regularly. But, I just feel with disc 2, even though you get more for your money, I will pretty much hardly ever listen to it, so because of this it drags my score down to, a still respectable, 8/10!

Now 80's Cover

Today the cover for the latest ‘Now That’s What I Call Music!’ instalment was released. The edition will not be released until November, however, EMI have certainly been on the ball this time and have released the cover for the CD very far in advance! Honestly, I am a massive fan of the “Now” series, and have been collecting them for quite a few years now, and I really feel like this is the best cover there has been in ages! Not only it features colourful party poppers which are shooting colourful curled bits of ribbon all over the place, but it also features a lovely lilac colour with a gold for the logo. The colours used are fantastic because it’s a rest from the usual red and yellow, and these colours are something new and fresh, which have been used hardly at all, if not ever! So overall, I love this cover! I’m really looking forward to seeing the tracklist for this CD (even if it may not be until later October time until we get to see it!) 10/10
